We Peeked: Wild Secrets Advent Calendar Review

OK so I love Christmas.  Matching pyjamas. Die Hard on Christmas eve. It’s three months until Christmas and my ringtone is already Mariah Carey.

Yes, I’m that person.

I love an advent calendar too. You know, the ones that come with a little treat each day? It’s not a surprise that there’s chocolate in there but it’s still such a thrill! And now you can turned that up to a new level of excitement with sex toys. Wild Secrets sent my partner & I their 2025 Signature Advent Calendar – a collection of toys, tools, and treats designed to bring a spark of curiosity, play, and pleasure to your December. One little sexy box a day. For 24 days.

As this is a review, we were forced to break the golden rule. No patience. No waiting. No day-by-day suspense. We had to tear it open, explore the surprises – and yes, test-drive a few toys. All so we could tell you what’s inside and whether it’s worth the hype. It felt a little wrong at first, to be tearing into those little numbered boxes in a matter of minutes, rather than spreading it over 24 days.

But let me tell you: being ‘forced’ into early unboxing never felt so good.

Advent Calendar first impressions

We were genuinely blown away when this package arrived on our doorstep. The calendar has clearly been so thoughtfully designed, right from that very first open. It is super gift-worthy. And There’s nothing here that signals novelty/joke/gag gift. Think more sleek, sultry, sexy-luxe. That’s the vibe of this packaging. You could easily pop it under the tree, gift it to a partner, or even treat yourself and know it’ll deliver more than its money’s worth.

There’s also something about the sheer size and weight of the box that makes your curiosity bubble. You know there’s some serious hardware hidden in here, not just throwaway trinkets. This is not Christmas cracker, filler-level content. And trust me, when you hit some of the bigger days, you’ll understand exactly what I mean.

The tease: Small surprises – big reveals

Now I knew that opening this advent calendar should be all about the build but I want to be real with you. And I was desperate to get straight to the big ones! It was my partner that slowed me down. And as is so often the case, he was right to take our time.

The first few boxes we opened were smaller toys and accessories. Think bullet vibes and other smaller toys, lace and satin accessories, and various games and objects to set the tone outside the bedroom. You can feel the intention behind these inclusions; layering sensory play, anticipation, and variety so you’re not just collecting toys, you’re building experiences.

The Rabbit Vibe

The dual-stimulation rabbit vibrator is a classic for good reason. It can be consistently relied on for both its ease of use and delivery of blended pleasure. We need to talk about this flogger! My partner will attest I literally gasped at the quality of this. I adore experimenting with restraint. There is so much to discover in the space of surrender that, as someone who lives a busy and demanding life, I find to be an incredible release. Restraint is the gateway to surrender for me, so I was thrilled to discover a few such items in the advent calendar.

The gold handcuffs have a very satisfying weight to them whilst still being comfortable, and easy to use and release.  The silk tie is soft but still strong, and surprisingly decent in length. It’s also versatile – easily used as both a blindfold and for tying around wrists or ankles. There is also a length of black rope, fantastic for practising your tying skills and knots whilst also still soft and gentle against the skin.

Mixing and matching the advent calendar goodies

We love to use toys and accessories in the bedroom, and we particularly love to experiment with combinations. Mixing and matching is a fantastic way to experience new sensations and discover things you didn’t even know you liked. This is the beauty of a collection like this. It isn’t just about what each item does individually.  It’s about how you bring curiosity, fun and play into the mix to combine them and integrate them into the experience.

You might be thinking, ‘yes that’s great, but how do I know what goes together?’ Well don’t worry – I’ve done the research. A hard job, but someone’s got to do it!

Here are some combos that we loved experimenting with:

A lazy Sunday afternoon: Precision vibe + stroker + rabbit

Some you might try once and set aside. But all of them spark conversation, laughter, and intimacy.
