Why are there so many types of rabbit vibes?
Because people like to get off in different ways and have different budgets. It can be confusing and seem like they all look the same though, so here's some things to look for that really make a difference.
Different clitoral stimulation arms
The original rabbit vibrator was named because it had a little rabbit head and bunny ears, and you can still see that in some modern designs. The ears sit on either side of the clitoris and tease and tickle delightfully while the toy vibrates.
The second most common type of rabbit vibe has a single external rabbit arm that sits over the clitoris or maintains direct contact with it. These typically give you more intense, direct stimulation.
Other rabbits can sit between those two extremes with a flickering, tongue-like attachment that laps at your clitoris. Others incorporate air pulse or suction to simulate oral, or engorge the clitoris to make it extra sensitive. What's the difference between Air Pulse and suction toys? We have a whole FAQ for that!
Internal arm extra features
Some rabbits feature thrusting shafts to simulate partnered sex without losing out on clitoral stimulation, others use rotating beads to stimulate your vaginal canal - others thrust with the beads to make it feel like thrusting without losing the G-Spot stimulation, and yet others will either flex in a come-hither motion or use a swirling bead at the tip to provide additional stimulation and pleasure. All of these can feel amazing, and if you know you like the feeling of a standard rabbit vibe, you might want to try one of those next.
Truly unique designs
Some rabbits, like those from SVibe, feature rolling designs to give you constant clitoral contact while thrusting, or to ensure you can get the exact depth you need for G-Spot stimulation without losing out on clitoral pleasure - which is the point after all. Others have three arms for the addition of anal pleasure - the point is they're all right for someone, but you're not sure if you need a feature, it's okay to say 'maybe later', and come back when the answer is 'yes, put that in me'.
Premium features
Another reason for different rabbit designs are premium features like waterproofing, heating functions, extra plush liquid silicone, and independent motors that let you have different stimulation patterns in the rabbit's arms. Of course, more functions usually mean an increase in price.
How do I choose though?
If you've never tried a rabbit vibrator before, there's nothing wrong with going with a basic model to see if the design works for you. After that, it's always about experimentation. If you're a pleasure in the bath person get something waterproof. If you really love clitoral suction toys try an Air Pulse or suction rabbit. If your partner likes watching and you like showing off, try one with a remote control or an app. When you know what you like, then you can get that premium rabbit with all the features you want - and none of the ones you don't.
